Robert J. Rotatori, the managing partner of Rotatori, Bender, has practiced law for more than 30 years and is widely regarded as an expert litigator in the field of criminal matters involving the business and financial worlds. He is also nationally known for his work in labor law. A graduate of Western Reserve University Law School, Rotatori served as an assistant U.S. Attorney for five years before becoming a partner in the law firm of Gold, Rotatori, Messerman & Hanna where he began his defense career. What followed has been a courtroom career spanning three decades and involving hundreds of cases, largely in federal court, dealing with nearly every facet of white-collar crime. Concurrently, his interest in labor law has evolved into a national practice. Rotatori reorganized the firm in 2001 just as the business world experienced a falling stock market caused by a spate of business scandals that rocked the nation and introduced the demand for more accountability in the business world. Almost overnight, what had once been considered a matter for civil resolution became a possible criminal charge, says Rotatori.
